Sunday Results

1-1-0 (-2.12 units)

Sorry about the added play not being sent out. Not sure what happened there.
Man, Detroit loses to NY? Goes to show you that at the professional level any team can be beaten on any given day.

Hopefully you maxed that sucker.

Hi Brent,

Can't win 'em all, so no sweat on the Detroit game. But just wondering if your program makes any allowances for a team playing four games in five nights, which often leads to bad results the last day (don't know the exact numbers vs. the spread, but they're terrible). Given that that was Detroit's MO yesterday, plus the OT the night before, maybe they just had nothing left today? I think your program is great, and I thank you for it, but is there any way to somehow or another adjust for factors like that?

I do not have a variable in the system that adjusts for the number of days rest, but I typically do some manual tinkering with the unit sizes if a team is on the last leg of a road trip or like you said, playing 4 games in 5 nights.

So I guess to answer your question, yes I do have some minor form of adjustment. I will probably try to factor this in next year with the actual numbers, but as of now I don't have the time to implement that in my system because it would probably take at least 10 hours of hard work and I'm not sure how much impact that it would actually have.
